Teenagers

The doctors, nurses and health visitors are all pleased to discuss any worries at any surgery appointment. Your confidentiality will be respected. Teenagers can be seen by a doctor without their parents’ knowledge.

All Patients

All patients up to the age of 75 who have not consulted a doctor within the last three years are eligible for a health check at the surgery upon request. Patients over the age of 75, who have not consulted a doctor within the last year are eligible for a health check upon request.

Smoking / Alcohol / Weight Problems

The doctors and nurses are all happy to discuss these with you at any appointment.

If you have been advised by the surgery to submit a Smoking Review on a regular basis, please use this form.

If you have been invited to submit an Alcohol Consumption Review, please complete this form.

Immunisations

Foreign Travel

Please make enquiries two to three months before travelling. There may be a fee for some of the vaccinations you require. When our nurses have worked out your vaccination programme, we will be able to advise you of the cost involved. For more travel information, please see our travel risk assessment.

Tetanus Prevention

All adults should have anti-tetanus immunisations at 10 year intervals. This is a free vaccination (maximum of five in a lifetime).

Flu & Pneumonia

We offer immunisations each autumn to all patients over 65 years old or those, including children, who have conditions such as asthma, diabetes, chest and heart disease. Please ask reception for more details on our Flu clinics.

Hepatitis B

This is a free vaccination for certain groups of people, including those working in risk occupations. For further advice, please contact the nurse.

Other Services

Cervical Smears

Cervical smears are routinely recommended every three years for women between age 25 and 49 and every 5 years for women 50-65. You will be sent an invitation to attend when your smear is due.

INR Clinics

For those taking anticoagulants, appointments, can be made at the Health Centre ,  Thursday mornings.

Diabetic Clinics

Our diabetic patients are looked after by our diabetic nurse-specialists who are available most days of the week.

Asthma

The clinical review of asthma patients ensures that their condition and medication is monitored on a regular basis. This is also combined with the respiratory clinic for those with obstructive airways disease. If you have been advised by the surgery to submit an annual review of your asthma symptoms, please use this form. If your symptoms are deteriorating or you are having any concerns please make an appointment with our nurse.

Island Leg Club, Community 2000 Hall, Easton

The club provides leg ulcer management, advice, treatment of lower leg problems in a social environment. This takes place on Thursday mornings, 09:00-12:00, no appointments necessary. Come along for a cup of tea or coffee, cake and chat. Members are treated collectively by the nurses, with the emphasis on social interaction which aims to reduce isolation and feelings of loneliness.

Leg Ulcers

Surgery appointments are not limited to specific days.

Speech Therapy / Chiropody / Physiotherapy

Speech therapy, chiropody, and physiotherapy appointments can be arranged through a discussion with your doctor or nurse practitioner.

Dementia

Royal Manor Health Care is recognised as a ‘dementia friendly’ practice.
